I *think* I can change the value from 0=full acceleration to 5=no acceleration. Either way I believe it indicates full hardware acceleration. HKLM\system\CurrentControlSet\Control\Video\\0000ĭWORD Acceleration.Level is currently either 0, or the key is missing, depending on the GUID. I think I've got the solution but I'd love for someone to confirm for me that this is what I need: Remote access which doesn't use RDP seems to be using the same failing logic that's causing problems with the console.Īnyway, I need to be able to disable acceleration from within an RDP session. Research indicates that my problem might be resolved by completely disabling graphics hardware acceleration, which is, of course, inaccessible from RDP and I don't get any video signal on a console connection. I can, however, get a remote desktop session. I can no longer get a display on the console. I have one of those dreaded ancient servers that can't be replaced, upgraded, reinstalled, or let go.
